Away from the capital, we assume things to be worse but our visit to Tsirang Dratsang change it all. Here is Tsirang, we came to improve their ten unit toilets but turns out that the toilets don’t need any fixing. They are in the best shape possible.
This is probably due to the 3 toilet cleaning volunteers who attend to the facility without having to be told. Moreover, every Saturday, they have mass cleaning program till noon. Therefore, our tour was more to learn from them.
We suggested minor recommendations to fix the leakage, paint the walls, improve the lighting and if possible build some urinals closer to the hostel so that the little ones need not travel far in the dark to reach the toilet.
